I suggest you book the airfare to Manila and hotel in Angeles City separately. In most of SE Asia, there is not much point of making strict arrangements, except maybe in high season (which March is not). Angeles is a very peculiar city, so if you it's not quite what you expect, you might want to go elsewhere (which you can't on a package). You should be able to find an OK hotel for ~$20/night, and the airfare is likely ~$850 on travelocity. Maybe you can look at the internet for a nice & a bit more expensive place for the first night, and then just walk around and switch to another cheaper place you like. Reservations are not really required, you can almost always just walk in. BTW, if you like Angeles, consider Pattaya, Thailand... airfares are a bit cheaper, and it has a beach, which Angeles doesn't!
2 :
If you are looking for cheap flights to Manila, try this link => http://airfare.bootsnall.com/. Fare results are without taxes but after comparing results with other web sites, I find results from this website cheaper. Manila is 120 km (75 miles) away from Angeles City. You can go to this link for a hotel in Clark near Angeles City: http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/6c/1/en/hd/clfrp. The hotel offers a pick up service from Manila Airport for a fee. If you can find an airline that flies to Clark International Airport, you'll be a few miles away from Angeles City. Try getting Asiana Airlines as the last leg of your flight since it flies to Clark from Seoul. Enjoy your stay in the Philippines!

I live in Cincy too, and there are plenty of places to get away to. Hawking Hills is pretty sweet, and not too far. Mamouth Cave also. Yellow Springs if youre into the hippy scene and nature reserves. If youre looking for a bit longer drive, Anarbor is a really nice city. If you go out toward the appilachians youll find all sorts of amish bed and breakfasts which are great. hope this helps
2 :
Go down to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge in the Smoky Mountains. Its a fun trip, and is straight down I75. Right around 5 hours drive. Have fun!

Anyone know of a low-cost beach travel spot that is near Cincinnati somewhat?
Spring break is coming soon. I am looking for a beach that is close to greater Cincinnati and will be inexpensive. Maybe somewhere in virginia I mean that's the closest beach I can think of. If you know any good places that are beaches and are fun and I can go to that won't cost a lot of money please let me know. I'm looking for something about 5 hours or less away and If you know of a decent hotel nearby that doesn't cost a lot but is clean and nice please also list that. Links would be helpful.

10 hours away by car is Myrtle Beach North Carolina. Loads of young people go there for Spring break. I stayed at a campground with tent and trunk full of camping things, with my girlfriend.... a long time ago. There is no beach that is 5 hours away, except maybe Lake ERIE straight North. Don't overlook the little islands there (Put in Bay) that are also a great hangout for college students. between Toledo and Cleveland, but more to the west. ISLANDS!! http://www.putinbay.com/ http://www.pibinfo.com/ budget lodging : http://www.calibex.com/Hotels--zzput+in+bay+ohio+lodgingz2703100zcalibex2zB7z5---html?nxtg=30810a1c0507-6885328611224E69

chicago - downtown - lake michigan has som egreat beaches. not yourtypical spring break beach trip, but it's quite the scene
3 :
You can always go up to Macinac Island in Michigan. Or Put in Bay on Lake Erie. There is Virginia Beach in Virginia. There is The Outer Banks in North Carolina, which is much nicer than Myrtle or Virginia beaches, but is somewhat secluded- pretty much just good restaurants and beaches outside of Nags Head. I also like Hilton Head or Tybee Island, in Georgia. They are also abotu 12 hours drive since they are pretty much straight down I75, and they are also much nicer than Virginia or Myrtle beaches. Myrtle beach does have nice beaches, but its also miles and miles of cheesy tourist crap too.

none directly you could go 75 to 70 to 77 to 80/90 or take 75 to 80/90
2 :
It is really three Interstates that take you from Cincinnati Ohio to Buffalo New York ...Interstate 71...Interstate 271 and Interstate 90. 430 miles...about. But if you want to just use 2 Interstates it would be Interstate 71 all the way to Interstate 90...way out of the way though.

I want to travel from Cincinnati, OH to Newark, NJ, how do I do this on the megabus?
It seems that Megabus is only giving me three options to travel to from Cincnnati, they are: Chicago, Columbus and Indianapolis. And I am trying to go to New Jersey. How do I do this!!! HELP! I'm supposed to be leaving this Saturday, 10th of July!!!!

To the best of my knowledge, the MegaBus routes in the midwest do not connect to the MegaBus routes on the East Coast. The MegaBus does not go to Newark, either. Your best bet for bus transportation would be Greyhound. Amtrak could take you there by train but it would take about the same amount of time and cost more.

anyone know of great places to travel within 8-10 hours of cincinnati with teenage boys?
I am planning a 4-5 day trip with my 14 year old son and a friend in July. I was looking for something fun that is close enough to drive to, without exhausting me. The boys are very active and love sports and outdoors. Gatlinburg is out, we've been there a few times and they dont want to go there.

Cleveland: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland Indians, and there's another museum [science, maybe?] that, I think, is near the RRHOF. Or Chicago. Lots to do there, including baseball games, MOSI, Shedd Aquarium, Natural History Museum, Millennium Park, etc.
2 :
Cedar Point, in Sandusky is a blast! There is a water park connected to the theme park, and it's right on Lake Erie. Hocking Hills, Ohio is beautiful, you can canoe, kayak, hike, camp, fish all the outdoors activities you can think of.
3 :
The Red River Gorge is a really great place to do some Hiking (and only about 3 hours from Cincinnati). If you want to camp, I would recommend Miguel's campground (1890 Natural Bridge Rd Slade, KY 40376). Otherwise there are plenty of small cabins to rent (but still stop by Miguel's for some great pizza). Your boys would probably really enjoy some via ferrata rock climbing while they are there too (http://www.torrentfalls.com/).
4 :
I was gonna say Cedar Point or Red River Gorge. I've been to both and they are way less than 8 hrs away =) Red River Gorge is kind of like Gatlinburg only it's not built up like a tourist attraction. There is lots of great hiking and caves to explore. Rock climbing if you know how or are into that. The Natural Bridge. The hiking isn't super easy either so that's nice to have a bit of a challenge. And Cedar Point is just a blast. Way more fun than Kings Island (although I do love KI). Plus it's close enough to Cleveland to hop over and go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if you/they want, it's about an Hr drive.
5 :
Chicago is fun or if you want to go on a beach vacation, Virginia or Myrtle Beach. For an adventurous vacation that your 14 year old and friend would like, look in places like Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee for things like whitewater rafting and hoarse back riding but it will probably be about the same as your Gatlinburg trip. Or you can stay in Ohio and go to Cedar Point. It's really fun to rent a house by the lake. Or to the Rock and Roll hall of fame and stuff. Just Google tourist sites in Ohio. Put-in bay is nice but your teenagers might get bored but you can check that out. Um, there's this package were you can go to the columbus zoo, zoombezie (spelling?) bay, the aquarium and some "african" Safari. My friend goes toMichigann for a week and likes it. Those PureMichigann trips look nice. But of coarse Michigann is Ohio's rival so...lol. Wherever you go, have fun!

Travel time from Reynoldsburg, Ohio to Cincinnati, Ohio is 2 hours (according to Google) and 117 miles. Click the link to see to see the route. You can get there before the tailgaters show up under me with my answer.
2 :
According to Google Maps: 116 mi รข€“ about 1 hour 57 mins
3 :
118 miles if you drive, that about 1 hour 59 minutes according to google earth travelling at an average speed of 59 mph. Euclidian distance is 109 miles according to google earth, looking at average plane speed of 500mph and acceleration time to get to that speed, it would take about 22 minutes to fly.

Anyone know of shuttle buses (i.e. cheap transportation) running between Cincinnati and Louisville on Kentucky Derby Day?

You might want to try calling a travel agent or some bus companies. If not, then drive down there. It is only about a 1 and a half hour drive.
2 :
You may want to check Hooter's on the river (or some of the other bar/restaurants)...way back in the day when I worked there they ran a bus to the Derby...and transportation to most of the sporting events in the area.
3 :
I would call NYC transportation. (Newport yellow cab) They have limos / tour buses under the name of executive transportation... They may have something going on.
4 :
Check out megabus, you can take a bus to Indianapolis and then to Louisville. They are pretty cheap and I hear they are good.

About What's the best travel route from NC to Cincinnati, OH

What's the best travel route from NC to Cincinnati, OH?
I've traveled from NC (Raleigh-Durham area) to Cincinnati before, but every driving direction website has me going on these random small roads in Ohio. Does anyone know if it's quicker to go another way, possibly through Knoxville or Lexington?

We were going to drive from Cincinnati to Raleigh on President's Day weekend but ended up flying. Due to the flight delay, we probably would have gotten to Raleigh faster if we drove. When we looked at things on the map, it looked as though if you go on I-77 across to Winston-Salem and then drive north to Virginia and cut through West Virginia and into Kentucky and then up to Ohio, it would be better. The other option is to go through Knoxville. I think the first method of driving through Lexington was how my friend used to drive when she went to visit her brother at Duke. You can always go to mapquest and see what directions they give or go to a AAA place and get some maps. Also the path you take can depend on how adventurous you want to be. If you have not been to Tennessee, you can take that path. If you are in a hurry, then the first method should be better.
2 :
I-75 north.
3 :
www.mapquest.com Will give you maps, alternate routes, estimated times, step by step directions from door to door. Sometimes has small errors which are impossible to find until you are in the situation. But it's free and immediate. Try it.
4 :
The by-ways through that part of Ohio is faster than taking the interstate through Tennessee. My family made that trip many times when I was a kid (Durham to Cincinnati), and we tried going both ways. In Huntington, WV, you should get off of the freweay and hop onto US 52. You can take that all the way into Cincinnati, or you can get onto OH St Rt 125 in Friendship (just west of Portsmouth). 52 and 125 will both take you into Cincinnati (almost to the same area too), but 125 is more direct and it has more 4 lane road. If you want to save a minute or two here and there, follow all of the directions that mapquest gives. But taking US 52 in Huntington, then getting onto OH St Rt 125 is quite a bit easier and a lot less random. You will save about an hour taking those by-ways versus going through Tennessee and Kentucky. It is also a much more pleasant drive.
5 :
I personally have done it both ways, and it ends up taking a decent bit less time doing it on the back roads. Remember- these are back roads, and except when you hit the center of the fedw small towns you'll pass through, you're generally moving along at 55 MPH (if you're not speeding). Its hard to justify going 100 miles out of your way, each way, to go an additional 10 miles an hour (it would take you 10 continuous hours of driving to make up the difference, and you'd use an additional 3-4 gallons of gas- which, if it makes you have to fill up sooner, could end up making it take even longer using the fast route). You can take I75 straight up to Cincy fom knoxville though, if thats how you really want to do it.
