What is there to do in Cincinnati, OH? Are the amusement parks fun, worthwhile? Is the Hyatt Place Hotel nice?
My boyfriend and I are traveling to Cincinnati, Ohio in July and we wanted to know what are some things for young, dating couples to do? Also, what are the hot spots and the bad spots of town. Do any of you recommend something we should visit and see or try? Thanks!

King's Island is a lot of fun in my opinion -- but it's a ways from down town. You could also check out Newport on the Levee, it's right across the river in Kentucky. It has stores, a comedy club, an arcade/bar, restaurants, an improv show, and Newport Aquarium. You could also look into taking a river boat ride (dinner or sightseeing) -- B.B. Riverboats is one option. There's also the Cincinnati Zoo and Cincinnati Museum Center -- if you go to the museum see a film at the Omnimax. As far as bad parts of town -- I've been taught as a general rule the closer you are to the river downtown the safer you are. I live across the river in Northern Kentucky, so Cincinnati natives may disagree -- but as a rule I make a point not to go above 7th or 8th street, especially alone after dark. Just be aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine. There are certain suburbs of Cincinnati that have high crime rates -- but I wouldn't know any reason for you to stumble in to most of those neighborhoods.
